Evelyn Irene Nickelsen Snape, age 94, passed away December 23, 2017 at Vista Springs Assisted Living in Grand Rapids.
Evelyn was born May 27, 1923 in Manistee where she met and married Donald Edmond Snape at the age of 19. Together they had three children; Donivee, Dianne and Darlene. She was a payroll supervisor for Knape and Vogt for 28 years. She was an avid card player and achieved the highest award in Bridge called “Life Master”.
Survivors include her three children, three grandchildren; Jon, Cheryl Lynn & Marianne, and four great-grandchildren; Tyler, Shai, Noah & Jayce.
The family will hold a private graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee. Memorial contributions in memory of Evelyn may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family has entrusted funeral arrangements with Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Manistee.
