Thomas Christopher Greiner, age 21, of Caledonia passed away Monday, December 25, 2017. He was born June 21, 1996 in Ludington to Christopher and Margaret (Hanson) Greiner.
Thomas graduated from Caledonia High School in 2014. He has worked as an HVAC installer for Quality Air since graduation. He was a hard worker and a respected employee and co-worker.
Thomas loved to duck hunt, deer hunt, and go fishing. He would often go shooting and hunting with his Grandpa Hanson. He also enjoyed helping in the meat house. Thomas was a devoted and loving father to his son, Jay Thomas. He was a great friend and a compassionate soul who touched the lives of all who knew him. Thomas had a commanding presence that was inviting. He had a great sense of humor that could make anyone smile.
Thomas will be greatly missed by his parents, Margaret Greiner (Kelly Major) of Caledonia and Christopher Greiner of Morenci, his son Jay Thomas Greiner of Byron Center and his mother Sarah Bellinger; his brother, Ronald Greiner of Caledonia; grandmother, Shirley Hanson; aunts and uncle: Karyn (Thomas) Abrahamson, Ronda (Paul) Pek, and Tom (Dawn Locke) Hanson; five cousins: Ashley, Amber (Luke), Andrea, Curtis, and Christyn; very special best friends: Kaleb Creger, Owen & Clayton Mulder; many extended family, friends, and co-workers, especially his boss Mark. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Cash.
Thomas is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlene (Donald) Lound and Ronald Greiner, maternal grandfather, William Hanson, and great grandmother, Hazel Hanson.
A celebration of Thomas’s life will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6-8 pm at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2 pm at the Scottville United Methodist Church. Pastor Bradley Bunn will officiate.
Memorial contributions in Thomas’s name may be directed to the family so that they may establish a trust fund for his son, Jay.
The family invites all who attend to wear casual clothing. Camouflage and or Carhart attire preferred.
