Obituary for June Jeanette Currier

June J. Currier, age 90, of Ludington passed away Monday, December 4, 2017. She was born April 19, 1927 in Ludington to George and Frances Vandervest.
June loved everyone who knew her; she was a mother and grandmother to all. She attended the Salvation Army Church for many years and she also worked at their thrift store. June enjoyed listening to Christian and country music. Her favorite time of year was the 4th of July, when all the family would return for a celebration at the beach.
June is survived by her children: Frances “Cookie” (Eugene) Karosas of Ludington, Ron (Barb) James of Nashville MI, George James of Nashville MI, Jessie Comstock of Ludington and Charles Currier of Wisconsin; sister: Wandi (Elmer) Currier, brothers: Robert Vandervest, Kenneth (Linda) Vandervest; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, June was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Diane; husband: Charles; sister: Helen Currier, and brothers: George Vandervest and Dennis Vandervest.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. June will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charles, at Lakeview Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Ludington.
