Obituary for Frederick M. Fleetwood

Frederick M.  Fleetwood
Frederick M. Fleetwood, age 82, of Ludington, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born October 3, 1935 in Ludington to William and Marie (Fogarty) Fleetwood.
Fred worked on the Spartan Car Ferry for a few years as a dining room waiter, he then married Beverly Meverden on December 13, 1958 in Ludington. Together they raised three children.
Fred worked for a while for Howell Wire as a machinist. He retired from Flora Craft where he worked as an electrician.
Fred could fix anything. He built the house on Curtwood Rd. and he enjoyed remodeling the home over the years.
Fred is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly; three children: Terry Ann Daniels-Krysteniak, Laurie (Tom) Malda, and Brad Fleetwood; seven grandchildren: Tyler (Alyssa), Nadine, Allyssa, Trevor, Joseph, Jordan, and Jarryd; two great grandchildren plus one on the way: Avery and Penelope; his sister, Bertha Sulak and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his siblings: William “Jack” “Bill” Fleetwood, JoAnn Taylor, James Fleetwood, Edith Marie Fleetwood, and son-in-law Tim Krysteniak.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. A Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home on Monday, December 4, 2017 with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Brett Spaulding will be officiating. Fred will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Fred’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Lakeshore Animal Friends, or to the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Ludington.
