Obituary for Nadine Lewis

Nadine J. Lewis, age 91, of Ludington, passed away on July 13, 2017 at Tendercare.
Nadine was born in 1925 in McCausland, Iowa, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Thressa (Roesger) Rossiter.
Nadine married First Class Petty Officer, Robert Keith Lewis, on October 16, 1943 in the United Methodist Church in Low Moor, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1982, having retired after 21 ½ years as a Lieutenant Commander Medical Service Corps, United States Navy. They were the proud parents of a daughter, Elizabeth, and two sons, David and Steven. As a family, they enjoyed military life living in various states along the Eastern coastline.
Upon her husband’s death, Nadine retired to St. Augustine, FL. She became a hospital volunteer at St. Augustine General and Flagler Hospital Auxiliaries and a volunteer at
the Lightner Museum. Nadine was a Charter member of the Ancient City Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America, a member of the R.S.V.P., the St. Augustine Shores United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 12 in St. Augustine.
In Ludington, Nadine enjoyed volunteering at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ludington.
Nadine is survived by her children, Bettye (Thomas) Tyron of Ludington, David (Jackie) Lewis of Whiteville NC, and Steven Lewis of Rocky Mount VA; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
