Sally Ann Merrill, 73, of Benzonia, passed away Saturday, June 10th at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Sally was born May 27, 1944 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Gayle and Audrey Marble. She married Vernon W. Merrill on May 29, 1965.
For many years Sally worked alongside Vern on the family dairy farm and then worked at Nabco in Kaleva. Sally also enjoyed gardening, reading, and especially making her delicious zucchini bread, apple squares and bald-faced chocolate cake, a family favorite!! Anyone stopping by to visit was always greeted with her friendly smile and a never ending pot of coffee. Many stories were shared around the kitchen table.
Sally is survived by Vern, her husband of 52 years, sons Tony (Bethany) Merrill, Jon (Laurie Reed) Merrill, Michael Merrill, grandsons Jordan (Kayla) Maxey, Reilly Merrill and Reagan Merrill, brother Patrick (Jan) Marble and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family service/ burial will take place June 14, 2017 at 2:00PM in the Pleasanton Township Cemetery.
