Carol Jean Rohn, Age 76 of Manistee died early Sunday morning May 21, 2017 at The Villa of Traverse Point in Traverse City.
She was born on January 27, 1941 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Seved & Jean (Nyland) Anderson. She trained as a LPN at Roseland Community Hospital in Chicago, and was employed at the hospital for over thirty years.
Carol married Robert W. Rohn on December 8, 1961 in Chicago. They moved to the Manistee area in 1995. Robert preceded her in death on September 10, 2003.
Her interests included crossword puzzles and crocheting.
Survivors include two sons; Michael Rohn of Scottsdale, AZ and Theodore (Mary Ellen) Rohn of Cedar Lake, IN, two step-children; Robert Rohn and Suzanne Cockerill, 6 grandchildren; Emily, Allison, David, Hannah, & Ryan (Elizabeth) Rohn and Faith (Sean) Visconti, one great granddaughter; Grace Rohn, three step-grandchildren; Scott, Michael, & Keith Cockerill, one brother; Robert (Jean) Anderson of Ludington, as well as by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services for Carol Jean Rohn will be held Wednesday, May 24. 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Manistee with Pastor Chad Short officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 Noon until time of service.
