Obituary for Betty Ann Lundberg

Betty Ann Lundberg, age 87, passed away April 22, 2017 at Oak View Medical Care Facility in Ludington.

Betty was born December 24, 1929 to the late Christian and Spra (Reed) Knudsen and was a lifelong resident of Mason County. Betty was united in marriage to Louis Lundberg on May 14, 1948. She treasured every moment spent with family and friends, especially her devoted husband Louis of 69 years, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafts and being a member of the South Riverton Helping Hands Society. For many years, Betty was a volunteer at White Pine Village, planting flowers in the village.

Betty is survived by her husband Louis of Ludington, Michigan and children: Charles (Kathleen) Lundberg of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; Russell (Diane) Lundberg of Sand Point, Michigan; and, Christopher (Bonnie) Lundberg of While Cloud, Michigan; her grandchildren: Robert Lundberg, William (Ann) Lundberg, Scott (Cindy) Lundberg, Annie (Anthony) Lundberg, Kathryn (Kevin) Zielinski, Erin Lundberg, Justin Lundberg, Angela Dutcher, Derek Brooms and Blake Brooms; her great grandchildren: Liv, Nathaniel, Natalie, Ethan, Juliet, Nathan & Lauren; her sisters-in-law Betty Near, Dolores Smith and Elise Knudsen, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Betty in death were her brother Wendell Knudsen, brothers-in-law Wayne Lundberg and Fred Near, niece Karen Knudsen Sniegowski and nephew Wayne Near.

Funeral services for Betty Ann Lundberg will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:00 at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at 1:30 at Riverton Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of America.
