Katherine Ann Perry

Katherine Ann Perry, of Manton, passed away January 28, 2017 in Cadillac. She was born in Mulliken, MI to Dr. Clifton and Roberta [Case] Merritt on June 14, 1926. She married Neil R. Perry in 1944. They were married for 68 years until his death in 2012.

Katy was an avid golfer and she closely followed professional golf long after health concerns forced her to stop playing. She also enjoyed many outdoor activities, including camping, mushrooming, and fishing. She was devoted to her husband and family, and especially enjoyed family gatherings. Katy and Neil were active members of V.F.W. Post 7806, and were instrumental in the founding of the Manton Area Veterans Historical Museum, along with several others.

Katy is survived by her children, Stephen E. [Pam], Michael [Leanne], David [Lois], and Pamela [Roger] Jenema; sister Linda Herod, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Chorley.

Katy was a kind, generous and loving wife, mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply and forever missed.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no funeral service.
