Thomas Michael Anderson, age 66 of Ludington passed away peacefully on March 20, 2016 after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.
He was born on November 3, 1949 in Ludington, to the late Dale M. and Electa G. (Broom) Anderson. Tom attended Ludington High School, graduating in 1967.
Tom served in both the Air Force and the Army. He married Christine Edwards on August 29, 2014 in Mt. Pleasant. Tom worked as a Journeyman Millwright for Dow Chemical, retiring in June of 2005.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion, Eagles, Local Steelworkers 12075 and the Ludington Boat Club. Tom enjoyed canning, spending time with family, camping, friends, riding his Harley and watching old movies.
Tom is survived by his wife Christine; children Sari (Will) Jolly, Tara (Matt) Chaffin, Tomi (Jamie) Pitcher, Shane Guenthardt, Shauna (Sam) Carr, Jeremy (Faith) Guenthardt, Sheena Rudy, Jamie (Eric Hull) Rudy, James III (Sally) Rudy; grandchildren, Hannah, Amberly, Braxton, Sam, Maggie, Nick, Paige, Justin, Nicholas, Jacob, Adrienne, Ashley, Laila, Samuel, Christian, Kaitlyn, Caden, Jonas, Charlotte, Brady, Logan and Connor; sister, Meredith (Dave) Hansen, also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dave, Dick, John and first wife Sharon.
Cremation has taken place, visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 4-6pm at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington and a Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11am at Oak Grove Funeral Home with Pastor Mick Shriver officiating with visitation one hour prior to service. Military honors will be held by the American Legion Post Honor Guard #76.
